Treasure charts are special items in Roblox Arcane Odyssey that lead players to buried treasure chests. Each chart includes clues such as island, direction, distance, terrain, and elevation. This locator helps you visualize the island, compass wedge, and distance ring before you dig.
Note: You need to be Level 20+ to receive treasure charts from chests. Treasure chests often contain armor pieces - optimize them with our armor optimizer tool.
Arcane Odyssey uses a 16-point compass system. Our treasure chart locator visualizes all directions including:
If you need the full clue system, rarity chart breakdown, or Explorer's Intuition explanation, read the complete Treasure Chart Guide. If the clue is confusing because of Bronze Sea or Nimbus Sea context, use the Sea Chart Guide.
Enable the grid on our treasure finder tool to see exact direction lines and distance circles. This makes locating treasure spots much easier.
Complete the quest from Scott Nebula in Stepstones (Level 40+) to obtain your shovel. You cannot dig up treasure without it.
Below Level 80, treasure charts only spawn for islands you've already discovered. Explore the map to unlock more treasure locations.
Pay attention to terrain clues like "high cliff", "sand", "sea level", or "ground". These narrow down the exact digging spot.
Focus on islands with many chest spawns like Ravenna and Frostmill. 10% of regular chests are scroll chests containing treasure charts.
Higher rarity charts give significantly more experience points. Legendary and Mythical charts are worth the extra effort. They also drop better armor pieces - calculate the best armor builds for your loot.
Simply select your island from the dropdown menu, then use the left/right controls to set the direction (North, Northeast, etc.) and distance (few paces, halfway, on the edge) that matches your treasure chart. The green highlighted area on the map shows where to dig with your shovel.
"Halfway" refers to the distance from the island's center (approximately 66% of the radius), and "northeast" is the direction between north and east. Our tool visualizes this with a green zone showing the exact area to search. The 16-point compass includes all directions: N, NNE, NE, ENE, E, ESE, SE, SSE, S, SSW, SW, WSW, W, WNW, NW, NNW.
To get a shovel, you need to reach Level 40 and travel to Stepstones. Find and talk to NPC Scott Nebula who will give you a treasure-seeking challenge quest. Accept the quest and he'll provide you with a shovel. You cannot dig up treasure chests without this tool.
Treasure charts can be obtained from: (1) Scroll Chests - 10% of regular treasure chests spawn as scroll chests (requires Level 40+), (2) Lost Cargo floating in the sea, (3) Castaways you rescue, and (4) Hunting rival players. Players below Level 20 receive enchantment scrolls instead of charts.
Common issues: (1) Make sure you're digging in the correct terrain type mentioned in the chart (sand, ground, cliff, etc.), (2) The green zone shows an area, not an exact spot - try digging multiple locations within it, (3) Some islands have elevation changes - check if your chart mentions "high cliff" or "sea level", (4) Verify you selected the correct island and direction settings.
Bronze Sea is the first sea region with 17 islands including Ravenna, Frostmill, and Shell Island. Nimbus Sea is the second region (southeast of Bronze Sea) with 5+ islands including Sameria and Makrinaos. Both seas have treasure charts with the same mechanics, but Nimbus Sea islands are generally higher level areas with better loot potential.
Yes! Higher rarity charts provide more rewards: Common charts give 5 chests per spot, while Legendary charts can have up to 10 chests at the final treasure spot. Legendary and Mythical charts also grant significantly more experience points when completed. The treasure quality and sealed chest chances also increase with rarity.
